Meet the Doctor
Dr. Starr received his dental degree at the University of Southern
California School of Dentistry, training under some of the finest and most well-respected clinicians in dentistry. Before specializing in endodontics, he practiced in Northern California as a general dentist for
four years, giving him a unique and thorough understanding of the
restorative process in treatment planning.
Starr completed a two-year full-time residency in Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics at USC. He returned to his native Utah and established a private practice in Saint
George in 1994. He is Southern Utah's only Board Certified [Endodontist] Root Canal Specialist.*
Starr is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental
Association, the California Dental Association and the American
Association of Endodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Starr has been a featured speaker at the American
Association of Endodontists Annual Conference as well as other state and local-level dental society meetings. He has also served as President of the Southern Utah Dental Society, and as a delegate to the Utah Dental Association.
Dr. Starr is passionate about endodontics, staying current on scientific literature and proven clinical techniques. He is a perfectionist in his work and always puts his patients' health and best interest first and foremost.
Dr. Starr and his wife have one son. They enjoy history, baseball, biking, and flyfishing, and are especially ardent skiers.
