Home Care Instructions

Following endodontic treatment, your tooth and surrounding gum tissue will likely be tender for several days to a week as a result of manipulation during treatment and previous condition of your tooth. This tenderness is normal and is no cause for alarm. Discomfort can be relieved with over-the-counter and/or medications prescribed at the time of your visit.

Avoid chewing on the affected side until your endodontic therapy is completed and your tooth is covered with a protective restoration provided by your dentist. You may continue your regular dental hygiene regimen.

Note: Please be sure to take post-operative medications as prescribed by the doctor. Should you experience discomfort that cannot be controlled with the medications prescribed, or should swelling or fever develop, please contact us.
