Meet the Doctor
Dr. Starr received his dental degree at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, training under some of the finest and most well-respected clinicians in dentistry. Before specializing in endodontics, he practiced in Northern California as a general dentist for four years, giving him a unique and thorough understanding of the restorative process in treatment planning.
Dr. Starr completed a two-year full-time residency in Advanced Graduate Studies in Endodontics at USC. He returned to his native Utah and established a private practice in Saint George in 1994. He is Southern Utah's only Board Certified Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist).
Dr. Starr is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the California Dental Association and "Specialist Member" of the American Association of Endodontists. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Starr has been a featured speaker at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Conference as well as other state and local-level dental society meetings. He has also served as President of the Southern Utah Dental Society, and as a delegate to the Utah Dental Association.
Dr. Starr is passionate about endodontics, staying current on scientific literature and proven clinical techniques. He is a perfectionist in his work and always puts his patients' health and best interest first and foremost.
